Job Summary: Servicing Member transactions, in addition to cross-selling products and services while providing excellent member service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Verify cash drawer daily.
• Post Member daily transactions and mail receipts, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, adjustments, loan payoffs, posting of cash and non-cash items.
• Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
• Process sales of money orders, gift cards, Great America tickets.
• Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote and cross sell products and services.
• Complete Line-Of-Credit transactions.
• Complete United Credit Union VISA Cash Advances (credit card).
• Attend required training sessions.
• Operate currency and coin counter.
• Initiate Teller check stop payments.
• Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts
• Orders a cash supply to meet daily needs and ensures limited is not exceeded.
• Fill in at other branch location when needed.
• Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Teller experience, cashiering or prior cash handling experience is preferred
• Prior customer service experience preferred

Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:

• Excellent math skills and basic accounting knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be able to work well with others
• Trustworthy and ability to work with integrity
• Exhibit competency in using current technology, such as computer, calculator, etc. necessary to complete required and miscellaneous responsibilities
• Great customer service skills
• Knowledge of credit union practice and regulations
• Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy
• Ability to problem solve and take initiative
• Be reliable and accountable.
